Most of what we write is personal lines, and most of the people we write it for have been with the agency long enough that we know the house, the trucks and the boat before they sit down. That is the practical advantage of an agency this size in a town this size.
Personal insurance is also where gaps hide. A policy written for the house you bought in 2009 may not describe the house you live in now. A boat added to an auto policy may not be covered the way you assume. We would rather look at all of it together once than fix one piece at a time.
